                  Sunday July 21, 2019  11:00AM to 3:00PM

This two day class where the student will make a 1/2” thick project that is 7” x 14” in size. The student will learn to use bricks and dams to create a mold that will hold the project to the needed size. The student will also learn to make selections of glass to provide visual effects of depth, motion and color reaction. The students will also make two 4 inch square sampler projects to demonstrate how the technique of reverse firing will keep your lines and shapes straight and sharp.
The second day of the class will be devoted to cold working the fused projects so that the edges can be fire polished when they are fired the second time for bending. The students will apply a devitrification solution to one of the sample pieces with demonstrations and discussion on advanced bubble reduction and use of large molds.

J Ring Glass requires all students taking classes to wear fully closed shoes (no exposed toes or foot tops).
